The Salty Sisters

Salt+Sol is the first Salt Room in Rockford, Illinois!

We are the Salty Sisters, born and raised in Boone County, Illinois. We discovered Salt Rooms while on vacation together and were intrigued on how Salt Therapy could help our family. Thrilled with the benefits and the overall "good feeling" we received and the fact that there wasn't a facility within 2 hours of home, we started planning to open our business. We are excited to be able to offer our community a natural, holistic option for overall wellness.

I grew up in Poplar Grove and my husband, Leon, a Marine Corp Vet, grew up in Capron. We went to North Boone HS together. We met up later in life and we now have a blended family with 4 beautiful, grown children and 2 grandchildren. We own Integrity Auto Care, a family business, and work together with our son, Lee.

I have been a nurse for 28 years and devoted my life to caring for other's health and well-being. After an illness, I took a leave of absence from nursing and chose a more holistic approach to my life and found myself healing and feeling better than ever. While my nursing career has taken a little bit of a turn, I continue to care for other's health, but with a more holistic approach, using the treatment of Halotherapy.

After high school, I joined the Navy. While stationed in Norfolk VA, I met my husband, Robert. We were married in 1992 and I made the transition from active duty to a military wife. We raised 2 beautiful children, traveled the world, and had many adventures. I always knew we'd move back to Illinois, so after Robert retired from the Navy, we decided it was time.

Rosa & I had spent years talking about Salt Therapy and how it could benefit our family, so now was the time to build our business! I had suffered for years from health issues and was finally diagnosed with an auto-immune disease. I have found that Salt Therapy has helped reduce many of the side effects, especially the inflammation! I couldn't be more excited to be home and work in a business that I am truly passionate about.
